What is the correct way to install valvesprings?

Ditto. There's really no wrong way. To be safe, it's a good idea to get a valvespring height micrometer and make sure the installed height is correct. If you're just replacing your stock springs, you should be fine since the 918's use the same installed height as the stockers.
