Default new heads...can i get away with driving it w/o tune?

if i were to swap on some ported heads...milled to about 59cc

would i be able to drive it a few hundred miles to get it tuned? keeping my foot out of it and only driving gently?

mods are in the sig.

worst case i see would be detonation...i could probably boost my octane to help. car was tuned for 93 on stock heads.

You should be fine driving part throttle. Depending on the amount of timing in your tune now you could see some detonation under a load. I would drive it.

i wouldn't think so. seen guys run bigger lift with similar heads....

you should have enough ptv. the computer will be able to keep your afr in check under part throttle while going to the dyno.
