I found some vortec heads. the guy wnats to sell them for 200. Is this a good deal, and the L31 the only vortec head? Also he says he has a vortec block? Are those any good or just get the heads and stick with my motor? Really apreciate you guys helping me.

 

the vortec block will give you the ability to run a hydraulic roller cam using factory lifters and lifter retainers. You will make quite a bit more power with the same streetability.
Plus my 140,000 mile vortec block still has cross hatch marks and no ridge. They seem last a long time.

 

Hmmm the post is 5 years old. I'm sure he has made the decision by now.
