Default Question about low oil light ?????

It seems that my low oil light is playing tricks on me. It has been coming on here lately, and when it does I check my oil and it is full. I added another quart for good measure so it is now above the normal operating level and the light persists but only occasionally. The car has good oil pressure and I know it is full because I have checked it, do ya think maybe that sensor is just going bad? Any and all help would be appreciated. Thank you Mike Knight.

Under your car... on the oil pan... passenger side. You have a octogonal plastic sensor that screws into your pan... make sure the plastic screw in plug is in there tight...

Or it could be going bad. It sould take you only a few minutes to change this out.

1. disconnect battery.
2. remove starter.
3. remove wires from plug in.
4 unscrew and remove te plastic octogonal screw in sensor.
5. screw in and replace parts in reverse order.

Good luck.
