Help with LS6 heads and cam selection I've got a stock set of '01 LS6 heads going on my '98 LS1 'vette and want to cam it. What would be the highest lift I should use using stock LS6 heads. I don't really want to put springs in the heads. How about duration and LSA? What would be the most aggressive cam you guys would use with this setup? What kind of numbers can I put down at the back wheels with only CAT backs? Also, I want a good idle and don't intend to do any tuning, at least not initially. I want a good daily driver and reliable car but want some good power with the emphasis being on a daily driver that is reliable.
Does anyone know the specs on '01 LS6 heads? Valve sizes, flow rates and how good are the springs?
