Who actually has the morels in stock?I need a set of the new link bar type.I also noticed on summit's website they now list the Lunati 72432 as a vertical link bar lifter. Is this going to be the same as the morels?

My only other experience with other than stock is the comp 850-16's which are working good so far with 4K miles on a x3 cam. Now we'll see how they hold up to a .650 lift cam.

Are these the LS7 lifters or the Caddy lifters?

For anything less than 7k (on the street), I'd use the LS7 (12499225).
For more extreme rpm/lobes, the GMPP Cadillac (88598689) would be the obvious choice. Given it's operating range, it's probably a more durable piece.
At any rate, the old adage "you get what you pay for" applies here.

Here'e what I would go with they're the same price as the Morels. I installed them with my cam swap and I had no problems turning 6500, and there's not much increase in valvetrain noise.

Here's the Hi-Po Chevy article:

You can get them from Summit:

How many people have actually "Used" the caddy lifters??
It seams that every time a new product comes out everyone starts to make unfounded reccomendations about using it??
How many people have actually had a failure with the LS7 lifters? How many people "Know" that the caddy lifter will be more benificial to use?? (on a street car that will NEVER see 7000+ rpms.)
Just because its twice the cost doesnt make it twice as good..
I vote for the tried and true LS7 lifter.. Cause I would be willing to bet the cost of the lifters that you will NEVER see 1 ounce of advantage or reliability increase by going with the caddy lifters.

I have to say that it depends on the application.
For mild street cams and/or rpm under 6,500 I am sure that
regular LS1/LS7 lifters (12499225) will be fine.
GMPP highly advises the use of the racing (Caddy) lifters with
more aggressive cams and higher RPM applications.
The ceramic internal checkball is supposed to help valvetrain control.
The racing lifters have also been reported to help quiet valvetrain noise at idle.
In short, buy what makes sense for your particular combo.
