Just like the topic says...how can I tell if I bent a valve? I managed the dreaded 4-2 shift this past weekend <img border="0" alt="[Banging Head]" title="" src="graemlins/gr_banghead.gif" /> and I was wondering what symptoms I might show for bent pushrods or valves. Any help is appreciated. Aloha, Dave

In my opinion a leak down test would be the easiest way to find out. Just yank all the spark plugs and loosen all the rocker arms up and hook the leakdown gauge up and it will tell you. Hope this helps. Justin

Thanks for the advice Justin. I am checking for excessive noise in the valvetrain when I'm done with work.......cross my fingers!
