I just went through this few weeks ago. DO NOT TAKE OIL PUMP APART easy to strip the bolts out.

Very easy to put bolt back in with eye brow snips and very small 10 mm wrench. Have an extendable magnet in case bolt falls in the pan (happened to me twice when i tried doing it with fingers). I did not have to drop the oil pan to do it.

So you somehow managed to strip the oil pump bolts when you took the pump apart?

Put a little Loctite Blue on the bolts and torque 'em to 18 ft lbs.

I had the wrench set to 18 ft lbs and 2 holes stripped out before wrench ever clicked when I was tightening the oil pump back up. I'm glad yours did not strip
