Default what is a hydrolic cam?

like the title states what is a hydrolic cam? also what are the other type of cams? what are pros and cons of each? i know my way around a car but when i get in to the internals i am as lost as a fat man in a slim fast store

Hydraulic cam is designed to be used with hydraulic roller lifters. There's solid rollers lifters too.
