I dont consider my car a freak but with 5000 miles on it and just a lid i ran 12.8? @110.8 that was at 3677lbs.stock paper filter and no free mods.didnt even touch the air in the tires.now i have a translator,Mac headers and orp,and a k&n filter and it made 340 hp and 350 ftlbs. It feels much stronger now so im hoping to run mid 12s @ 114.
as a side note the K&N filter gave me 5 hp on the dyno on back toback runs

With @1400 miles on my '01 M6 Z28 and no mods at all (down to the paper air filter, etc...) dyno'd 297/314 fresh off of a 45 minute drive. In other words, about average.

My '98 pulled around 280rwhp and about 307rwtq. That's ok...I still ran a 13.46@103.4 at the track. With 5,000 miles on the clock, I dyon'd it for the first time. Run 1 was bone stock down to the paper filter (273 rwhp i think?) I descreened the MAF and dyno'd it again. It pulled 292 which about normal for stock.
**Note: I don't remember the exact numbers, but what I've listed is very close and I know for sure I jumped 19rwhp. I still have the graph somewhere.

At the very least it provided a boost in midrange torque and I bet picked up a few ponies too.

A club member of ours with 02 M6 Z28 put down numbers around 330ish hp with just a lid and a muffler. Although those same numbers with a so called "bone stock 02" is quite impressive!
Imagine what kind of numbers that 02 will put down with some proven hp mods.
I've been told mine was a freak too considering the few mods I had for a 00. With a lid, ported TB, SLP 85mm maf, factory stock SS exhaust non-dual dual and NO cutout it put down 329 rwhp 339 rwtq on a dynojet. I guess I got lucky because my previous 98 Z M6 with 3.73 gears, SLP headers and all bolt-ons and tuned dyno'd it's best at 325 rwhp on the same dyno.
