Building bottom end...
In a brand new set of bearings and freshly machined block and crank, should the thrust bearing ever cause the crank to not just drop into place? IE: Should the sides of the thrust bearing and the crankshaft ever be such a tight fit that the crank doesn't just drop in and sit where it is supposed to? I have an engine I'm putting together and I think I have the wrong thrust bearing in the kit.
That's precisely what I thought. This _CAN'T_ be the right thrust bearing.
All the other bearings are fine. It's just the one that's a problem. If I'm fast, maybe I can get to the parts store before they close. :/
