LS1 HOT CAM
ANY GUYS RUNNING THE LS1 HOT CAM AND IS IT PERFECT FOR BOTH STREET AND STRIP

Thats a matter of opinion but I am surprised no one has chimed in yet.TTT for you.Oh yeah it is a excellent strip cam but there is always better no matter what you chose. Also street wise I hear its a little radical but again thats just others opinion.
price/contents. This was my first cam ( only cam sofar) install. I wanted everything, gaskets, parts.
At the time jim pace parts was running a price $420
for hotcam kit; all gaskets + crank bolt ; delivered.
I dont recommend the hotcam for A4 use. YOu can
do it but dont whine when you get tired of it.
The idle for the most part is really lumpy, sounds great too.
Throttle blade = 15/64" and I have a .022" shim on
idle stop ( this fixes stalling with AC ON in summer )
hotcam+lid+catback ( stock everything else )
330/330
added SLP lt kit ( headers,cats,y-pipe)
351/364
I have some sound files here of the hotcam

here is the method I used to change out the cam.

Any of the Thunder Racing cams will do as well as the MTI cams. My opinion is that you call the sponsor nearest you tell him your goals and needs from the car, and let them give you some advice. Or you could give us some more infomation about your current mods, and mods to be done and maybe a few guys could help you decide.
