Anyone using 2002 LS6 valvesprings?

Anyone using 2002 LS6 valvesprings? A friend made the recommendation to switch to these springs to alleviate my annual valvespring nightmare. He says they're good to .600 lift and should last a lifetime. My cam only has 527/535 lift, and I'm currently running 918's (for two months, which I found out today their installed height wasn't checked at install). But I can get the LS6 springs for a little over $6 per spring.
