Mixed Rocker Arm Ratios

I was reading an article on various SBC motors and noiticed several of them where running with mixed rocker arm ratios; 1.6 Intake and 1.5 Exhaust. I was wondering if there is any reason that this idea could not be applied to LS1 heads? Like using Crane Cams 1.8 arms for the intake valves and 1.7 for the exhaust valves.

yea u can use up to the slp 1.85 rockers wherever you want, you just have to know what your restriction is.. but why not just put em all on? <img border="0" title="" alt="[Big Grin]" src="gr_grin.gif" />
any rocker multiplier can be duplicated in cam profile, so for the price of those rockers, i'd just get a cam and at least 2-3x the hp increase.

The problems are clearance and expense. It is much more cost effective to purchase and install a new cam with the desired characteristics than to purchase and install the new rockers.
