Holy **** Matt those are killer numbers!! Remember that your comp ratio is not as high as others which would be worth a good bit.

Don't you have an external FPR? Maybe that is causing a problem?

Well, if your car is getting richer with the fuel pressure dropping it will probably be extremely rich once you get the fp stabilized.

You've got a stout combo and there is definately some more left with a little more tuning once you get the fuel issue taken care of.

I would just get a stock replacement fuel filter. There real easy to replace. If that doesn't work, you have the fuel regulator(intank) and the fuel pump itself that could also be culprits. If you end up putting a new pump in you might want to replace the regulator at the same time. I don't think there is anything else that would cause the fp to drop but, I'm not a mechanic either.

Good luck

John

I forgot that if was at 11.8:1 vs. 10.8:1 I would easily have another 10+rwhp. Good point!

Car is at no more than 59psi at low rpm.....as opposed to the 62 psi I was running before the heads/cam.

Have you had those heads on a independent bench, not doubting in anyway, but 260 cfm out of a 1.55 seems alittle much. Thats flow like a Brodix -12 15 degree head on the exhaust. Done by weldtech BTW awesome power you should go fast

So take those #'s down a bit.

No they haven't been independently tested either.

I spoke with TEA at WFC, they happened to have some of their LS1 heads there. They looked like a nice head.

Those are some good numbers. Congrats!

Awesome numbers! You can't complain about those. The rich condition at the upper rpms is the tuning. Play around with the tuning and lean it out..you should see even more power.

53psi at high rpms at full throttle is normal. I've seen a bone stock LS1 trans am get down to 54psi at 6200rpms.

To be honest (OK, now I'm asking for a butt whoopin' ), I was shooting for 450rwhp and anticipated about 44x rwhp or so....

Keep in mind my car had 20-30rwhp more than most bolt on cars before the heads/cam process. That coupled with the great results I've been seeing with the TR 230/224 cam gave me hope for 450rwhp.

Of course 437rwhp ain't nothin' to sneeze at! I'm extatic!! I'm going to do get some more out of the combo (fuel filter, tuning, etc.), I just got some work ahead of me

Killer numbers Verbs! Congrat's on an awesome combo...your research really paid off. And that exhaust sounds flat wicked

You may want to look into the Cat over temp feature in the latest version of LS1_Edit. I tweaked mine because of an over rich high RPM condition and picked up ~12RWHP going from ~11.7 to 12.9 A/F

The one problem we noticed was that my fuel pressure got as low as 53psi towards the upper rpm ranges. It seems as if my fuel pump is barely hanging on at high rpm's. I'm not sure if I'm being hindered by the lack of fuel pressure at that high of rpms.

Baseline dyno was 363rwhp/372rwtq....it seems this dyno is notorious for putting down lower numbers than others in the area (which can be seen by my 8rwhp/8rwtq drop in hp from my last dyno)

So I basically gained 73rwhp/29rwtq with LS1 edit tuning. Not as much as I had hoped for considering the size of the TR 230 cam.

Great numbers! I'd be curious to see how you do at the track. Also, I don't think FP dropping to 53 psi is going to hurt you, but you just need to tune for it.

I'm confused by the comment that you gained 73RWHP with LS1 Edit. Are you saying you dynoed 363RWHP and with no other changes but tuning, you gained 73RWHP?
