I will be getting mti stage 2 heads and cam and decided that since my bottom end has 63ooo miles that I will redo the bottom end/ pistons/rings...
I don't have access to a lift and will be doing this in my garage (8 1/2' to ceiling) can I remove the engine from the top with a cherry picker? tips? with trans on motor?

goto the first link murdock posted and go to raughammer's home page link, he has pics on how to do it.
i did it with an m6 and if you want my opinion, just unbolt the tranny and pull the engine from the top. much easier done with the engine only.
note: i did my swap with a cherry picker, a jack and some stands. all in the garage of my appartment complex.
