What can cause my gauge not to show oil pressure? Its a brand new short block and a Kaytech Oil pump. Ive put 3 different oil pressure sensors on it and nothing. Im gonna pick up a new one monday and hopefully thats it.
What else could I check?
Also is there a way I can check if I have oil pressure by my A Tap?
TIA
ALbert

how long did you leave the motor running?
i almost started the engine and let it idle till i see oil pressure! not very smart!
some one said that you still get pressure to the bearings but not the oil gallies... not sure though.

unplugging the coils is an excellent idea , but when cranking don't expect to see any pressure build up on the guage.
just crank it for 15 sec. more than enough!!! <img border="0" title="" alt="[Smile]" src="gr_stretch.gif" />
