Default Cam/dyno experts, look at my dyno, I think I’m low...

Hey guys, I dynoed the car recently and was expecting a bit more. I noticed something about my reading and the way the car was acting while on the dyno.
Seems that my car runs into some problems when hitting about 5200 rpm, at about that range and above the car begins to smoke excessively, I mean smoke screen like. On the chart, the hp line pretty much flattens out and stays in that range for the remainder of the rpms.
The thing is I don’t have smoke problems unless I stomp it and go above 5kRPMs. I haven’t tuned the car any and last time I swapped the plugs, the old ones were pretty beat up after a little less than 1year of cam use. Is a MAFT/Autotap combo my solution?
Check it out and let me know what you think, I apologize if the link doesn’t work, if the link doesn’t work, just go to my website and go under DYNO.

Any and all suggestions welcomed-
Thanks,
Frank

I assume that the smoke is black otherwise MTI would have said you need motor work. black smoke indicates that either you are running rich or that your O2 sensors are not working 100%. My guess is that you are rich. That would be best cured by tuning with Edit (or a MAFT) with the wideband hooked up.

yeah the smoke was black and there was lots of it, people standing behind the car were jumping out of the way lol <img border="0" title="" alt="[Smile]" src="gr_stretch.gif" />

What do you all think of the dyno chart? Is it normal for a Hammer cam car to reach it's peak around there and stay like that all the way thru?
Thanks,
Frank

I have seen cars smoke like that when they are detonating also.
