Project Dragula Update 8/19/02
Dragula log 8:19:02:7:01
Minion: "What has made thou giddy oh dark lord."
Dragula: "Thy prospect of the deaths of many whet my appetite and doth give me much succor over these dark days of unrelent. Many times I have peered out into the dark sky and made sacrifices to the old ones. They now have heard my pleas and my offerings have pleased them."
Minion: "And now oh lord, what shall happen now?"
------------------------------------------------
Arrived... ARE LS6 stage III heads, high compression; new ARE spec Comp XE-R camshaft; PA Racing K member mild steel; BMR upper and lower control arms mild steel; and a converter lies in wait if needed.
All I need is time to swap the stuff, and to continue my weight reduction.
I went 11.15@120mph last year with my mild LS1 heads and 10.8:1 compression, at 3650-3700 raceweight.
I have now switched to new 28x10.0x15 Hoosier slicks since I could not hook anymore, and have new heads and cam as noted above, and a firm goal of 3400 raceweight.
I've got other little things I want to do but I'll post tomorrow.
I plan to make some of the swaps into articles for the website... how-to guides.
Later my woman awaits!

Congrats!
Now please throw in the TP4400 with those mods and go run a 10.5@128mph in that pig of yours!

Chris

Re: Project Dragula Update 8/19/02
Oops I fixed the dates.
Stuff got here yesterday.
I need to fix the tranny on the HOE, and I have a wedding this weekend to attend, and my sister gets marrried the following weekend so I need to figure out I can start chipping away at this.
I can make it easier by not reinstalling the exhaust or the powersteering.
Cam is single pattern probably similar to MTI S1. I have no interest in reverse split since I will do a sheetmetal intake in a couple of months.
I am going to run the TPE3600 I have for now for baselines and then ARE, Yank and I will determine what converter swap I will make.

Hey John let me know what cam your getting. It may be the same one I'm going with. xlr8nss@bellatlantic.net
I'll be going with an intake sometime in the future also and I think that's why Nick recommended the single pattern.

Good luck with your new set up John. Your updates are interesting.
I hope to have project TOOOBADSS complete by the 2nd or 3rd week of October. Then off to the Southern Shootout. Man I hope the new engine is complete by then. The new engine should really rock-n-roll.

Re: Project Dragula Update 8/19/02
Naw, but it will be looked at before I take it all apart, but I am 99% sure it's electrical if the crank was walking due to a worn thrust bearing the motor would have grenaded. I probably have a pinched wire that is grounding out.
