Default I need help with my idle/stalling/surging probs after heads/cam install

Well, here is it in a nutshell...a big nutshell.

Since my heads/cam install:

My car doesn't start very cleanly , and at times when my air conditioning is on, the car may stall if I have the clutch depressed and push the brakes hard when slowing down.

The car surges horribly at low rpm cruising...anything below 1500rpm is an amusement park ride

I've done some ATAP recording and here is what I get.

IAC counts at warm idle with no load are between 0 and 8. When I come to a stop it'll start off around 8-10 and slowly decrease to 0 and just sit there.

With the air conditioning on at idle my IAC count is in the mid 40's on average.

L-trims at idle are between -1.9% & -5.5% in bank one, and between 4.5% and 9.5% in bank 2

My timing jumps all over the place at idle. I've seen it as low as 17.5 degrees and as high as 28 degrees at idle, and it is always jumping all over the place. I've seen a few friends' cars and they all keep a much steadier timing range than I do

My idle is set to 950rpm, and the hole in my TB is 13/64 I believe.

I've been told to try to increase my timing at idle, to richen the car up a bit at idle, and to JB weld the hole and start over on drilling again.

Can anyone else make any good suggestions on how to curb my idle issues??

I had the shop that installed the heads/cam do the ls1 edit tuning, but for some reason he can't get my car tuned right.

I can't remember your mods..your car is a4 or m6??
With my b1 I had some stalling issues and drilled the tb 13/64 and turned my tb idle screw upside down so I can adjust it from the top.You can up idle probably 100 or so easy without tripping any ses lights.Mine doesn't stall now..it does skip a beat sort of when I turn on my air at first but I could tweak up the idle a bit more if need be but I like to hear the cam loping more when the air isn't on.My iac counts go to zero at a light with air off..have to check them with air on.Could maybe drill up to 15/64 but think its good enough.I have no ls1 edit or other programming.I think the reason your numbers are jumping so much at idle is mostly just your idle speed is too low on the verge of stalling.try the tb screw trick.
Then maybe drill a bit bigger. You can just jb weld the hole or put a rivet in there no biggie if you go too big.I don't notice much surging or any of that either now.
