ls6 cam
Thanks
The general feeling is, if you are going through the work of changing cams, put one that will build POWER!
Dont waist yourself. If you are doing it to keep a warranty then use the GM hot cam kit as a few have put down some excellent numbers.

Try GM performance parts they are a sponsor or speed inc they too are a sponsor.
Please help me decide
Have you heard of anyone using this hot cam kit? The price sounds alright! I was gonna go with the LS6 cam since i can get it for 75 bucks. Is there a lot of difference beetwen these 2 cams?
Please help me decide

Yes there is a big difference between the 2.The hot cam idles a lot rougher but makes more power. Some peole are starting to get real close to 400 hp with that cam.The best thing about it tome though is you can still keep your warranty with it.

I seriously doubt more than 10% of GM dealerships in this country would warranty a car with a hotcam in it if you had drivetrain problems (grinding tranny, broke rear, broken rocker arm, etc). GM just sells the part...they dont say you retain your warranty with it.

It all depends on where you live and as long as you let them install a gm part why would they not warranty it?
Are you sure it wasn't the 01 Z06 cam which will fit in our engines with no valve modifications?
