How much will 1/2 point jump in compression help???
Mods are in sig, adding 230/227 TR cam, thinking about milling heads while they are off, how much will it help, in RWHP? Thanks, Shawn
A FULL point of compression is worth ~10 rwhp/8rwtq. So maybe 5 rwhp or so. However compression is beneficial in more ways than just extra rwhp...

-Works very well with nitrous(if thats in future plans)
-Basically free HP
There is a couple more I can't think of right now..

I don't know much about nitrous, but I learn what i hear. And I heard that like superchargers that like lower CRs, nitrous does too because it builds cylinder pressure, and a high one with nitrous would blow the motor...so there wasn't and isn't truth to this?

Blowers force air into the motor, so lower compression is needed to make room, so to speak.
Low compression with nitrous is a myth however. Nitrous basically "freezes" air, it doesn't "force" anything else into the motor. High compression and nitrous are very good friends <img border="0" title="" alt="[Wink]" src="gr_images/icons/wink.gif" />
