You can order them in many different bore sizes, thickness, etc. Their "stock" replacement gasket has a compressed thickness of .054. This is what I'll be using when I install my heads in the next few weeks, along with ARP head studs.

I plan on installing some heads in 2 weeks. The heads have not been milled,so I'm looking for a thinner than stock gasket that will hold what I can throw at it I'm also installing ARP studs.

Don, because of positive deck clearance of pistons, you are restricted to around .050" thick gasket to maintain estimated .040" min. quench, to avoid interference of head and piston. I cant find my gasket specs but they must be around .050" or i would hear them hitting at 6600 rpms!

IMO a .035" quench is perfectly fine and should help to build a bit more power as you want to go as tight as possible without contact.
So you can IMO run a gasket of .041" or so with a .006 "+ piston.
In fact Fel-Pro ls1 gaskets are speced at .041" thick compressed .

My Cometics are .043 thick and my heads are shaved .060. I do have flycuts in my pistons though. Without shaving the heads I see no reason you couldnt run a thinner gasket.

I love the cometic gaskets cause they are reuseable. I have used mine 3-4 times now. They are not marked so make sure you put the BIG water jacket holes towards the back of the block.
