Default Help with New Cam

Hey guys, I've just installed the Lunati 55005 Cam, (222/230 w/ LSA of 114) along with Hooker LT's and ORY pipe. The idle is very lopey, sounds pretty good to me. My question is this, how long does it take for the PCM to learn the specifics for this cam as well as the better air flow from the headers? Should I wait some time period before tuning with LS1Edit? Idle is not the greatest, and with AC it will die unless on the road. It is throwing codes and I haven't had a chance yet to AutoTap them yet...so I'm not sure what they are...misfires I would presume. I need to know what the next steps are...before I proceed to drilling out the TB Blade. TIA for any help.

Drive it around for 1/2 hr. after you clear the pcm. After 1/2 hr. will probably be the best it's gonna get. Throttle plate drilling may be required here to keep from stalling. And yes get it tuned you'll be happier

Anyone else have any ideas...I've followed the posted method for resetting the PCM/ECM but to no avail, it will not reset. I'm having the same problems with the ABS INOP light, I pulled the fuses for both and allowed the car to sit for several minutes, then powered off the car and re-inserted the fuses...both lights are still a glowing!!Grrrrr! Any help would be great or even a point in the right direction would be appreciated! TIA for your help!!

Hard failures/multi-drive cycle cont. fail & you can't clear them. Point your way to getting the code #'s & start to find the problem. Maybe somebody else can tell you to get a scanner of some sort or they got a crystal ball.

As Homer Simpson would say DUH!!!!! I finally figured it out...the guy who installed the headers didn't realize that the rear O2 sensors would have to be replaced with O2 sims, since I deleted the cats. I just assumed that he would install them...I didn't check myself. I ordered them overnight and just installed them this evening and guess what...the "Service Engine Soon" light finally went out...it is amazing how things can turn out when you do them correctly!!! I'm still running rich above 3000 rpm's, will LS1 Edit take care of that...I do have a copy, or will this require something extra? Thanks for any input.

Get on a dyno and get it wideband tuned with LS1 edit. Shoot for around 28 degrees timing and AF of around 12.5-12.8:1. You can raise your idle using Ls1 edit. I would think an idle of around 900rpm would work well.
Cheers,
Chris
