Default Tsp 228r rev limit????

The powerband starts at 1600 and goes to 6300. I just had my rev bumped up from 6200 to 6800. Is that going to be ok if I am running it to 6500 or 6600 or 6800???? Mods in sig.

You can rev the motor as high as you want to. The 1600-6300 is the power band the cam makes. You can rev past 6300 but your power will start to fall off. If you are reving to 6800 you might want to change to a better spring than the 918. Just my opinion.

No need to rev high with this cam thats the beauty of it. Mine makes peak power at 6350, my rev limit is set at 6800 but I shift about 6500 - 6600.

I agree with this guy. reason is when u shift gears it will drop down and keep u close to max power. u dont want to drop down (rpm) to much but, enough to pull u then when u reach a tad bit past max power shift. u dont want to go too high cause then u will start to slow urself down. just keep in mind if u r still running stock rod bolts at 6800 ur cutting it close.....hope this helps
