Enough clearance?
Enough clearance? I'm in the process of putting my car back together after I broke a spring last fall and I want to know if I'll be safe running a cometic 3.910" gasket that is .040" thick? Just wanna make sure I have enough ptv clearance with my heads and cam before I buy the gaskets.
i have no personal experience but i would definitely clay it.maybe get every thing ready and put the stock gaskets back on and measure and then see how much closer you can go.maybe someone that has had 5.3 heads with that cam will chime in. have they been milled any ?
They just got back from ETP and they milled them very slightly to clean them up, Craig said it wouldn't affect my clearance and recommended these gaskets but I was just double checking.
