Default leakdown Test cold or warm?

Should I do the leakdown hot or cold? I think I should do it hot so the forged parts are expanded fully and sealing properly. Whats you guys think?

If you are doing a leak down test the motor needs to run at last 10 minutes before you do the leak down test..

If you do the compression test 10 minutes after it has been run, would that be considered a dry or a wet compression test?

Or on a wet compression test would you put the oil in the Combustion Chamber right before testing? And how much oil would you put in?

Wet is when you squirt oil in through the spark plug hole. Just a small squirt or 2 works.

Your speaking of checking cylinder compression. Different than a leakdown test. Two tablespoons has always worked fine in performing wet compression checks. The oil seals the the rings and if worn you will see the pressure numbers higher than your dry test readings.

As to the leakdown test, warm seems to be more accurate. I've seen false readings from cold motors. The colder the temps the more inaccurate it seems.
