Re: Just cross threaded a sparkplug Doesn't sound like your situation calls for this but...Snap-On makes a nifty tool for badly damaged spark plug threads. It's like a collapsible tap, you stick it in the hole, tighten a nut down to expand the tool, then tap the threads from the inside out.

They have a tool that goes into the spark plug hole.Then it expands and allows you tep from the inside out,So you are only tapping the threads you messed up and the shavings come out instead of going in <img border="0" title="" alt="[Smile]" src="gr_stretch.gif" />
It is the coolest tool I have ever used <img border="0" title="" alt="[Smile]" src="gr_stretch.gif" />
OOp's didnt see the snap-on post <img border="0" title="" alt="[Smile]" src="gr_stretch.gif" />
I bet we (mac) are cheaper though <img border="0" title="" alt="[Wink]" src="gr_images/icons/wink.gif" />

My dad had it all fixed the time I got home and we then put it all together and fired it up <img border="0" title="" alt="[Big Grin]" src="gr_grin.gif" /> . Took it to the shop to get alined tomorrow <img border="0" title="" alt="[Smile]" src="gr_stretch.gif" /> . thanks for all the replyes.
