Just cross threaded a sparkplug
This is easy get a tap be shure to put grease on it to keep shavings from getting in your chamber and there ya go your all fixed up.I know this works I have done it.A tapered tap is the best. <img border="0" title="" alt="[Smile]" src="gr_stretch.gif" />
Get a 14mm spark plug thread chaser & put a little grease on the threads to catch any metal shavings. <img border="0" title="" alt="[Wink]" src="gr_images/icons/wink.gif" />

Always start threading your spark plugs by hand, very slowly. This will prevent your current situation <img border="0" title="" alt="[Wink]" src="gr_images/icons/wink.gif" /> <img border="0" title="" alt="[Razz]" src="gr_tounge.gif" />

Doesn't sound like your situation calls for this but...Snap-On makes a nifty tool for badly damaged spark plug threads. It's like a collapsible tap, you stick it in the hole, tighten a nut down to expand the tool, then tap the threads from the inside out.
See your local MAc Tool man <img border="0" title="" alt="[Smile]" src="gr_stretch.gif" />
They have a tool that goes into the spark plug hole. Then it expands and allows you tep from the inside out,So you are only tapping the threads you messed up and the shavings come out instead of going in <img border="0" title="" alt="[Smile]" src="gr_stretch.gif" />
It is the coolest tool I have ever used <img border="0" title="" alt="[Smile]" src="gr_stretch.gif" />
OOp's didnt see the snap-on post <img border="0" title="" alt="[Smile]" src="gr_stretch.gif" />
I bet we (mac) are cheaper though <img border="0" title="" alt="[Wink]" src="gr_images/icons/wink.gif" />

I didn't know Mac had it...and I'll guarantee Mac's cheaper. Snappy gets a little rediculous with his prices <img border="0" title="" alt="[Eek!]" src="gr_eek2.gif" /> <img border="0" title="" alt="[Eek!]" src="gr_eek2.gif" />

well turns out it was only the sparkplug that was cross threaded <img border="0" title="" alt="[Smile]" src="gr_stretch.gif" /> . My dad had it all fixed the time I got home and we then put it all together and fired it up <img border="0" title="" alt="[Big Grin]" src="gr_grin.gif" /> . Took it to the shop to get alined tomorrow <img border="0" title="" alt="[Smile]" src="gr_stretch.gif" /> . thanks for all the replyes.
