I know of a shop in houston that has built one but it made less rwhp than your typical MTI 422 <img border="0" title="" alt="[Confused]" src="images/icons/confused.gif" />

Our big motors start to realllllly get intake restricted past 500 rwhp. So, a well-built 422ci might make the same power as a 454ci.
You can go bigger than 454ci no problem. With my 4.155" bore diameter and a 4.25" stroker crank, you arrive at 461ci <img border="0" title="" alt="[Eek!]" src="gr_eek2.gif" /> and all parts are available to make that size now.
454ci = 4.125" bore with a 4.25" stroke

Nu-Tek Motor sports used to offer a bored LS1 aluminum block to accomidate 427 C.I with a 4" crank. the block only was $2,200
