Middle of cam install, need help
Middle of cam install, need help I started replacing my valve springs today. I bought the REV 1116 springs with new retainers and hardened seats, but I think I have run into a problem with the valve seals.
Here is a picture of my stock valve seats and the new ones.

Is that the valve stem seal built into the seat?
If it is, I'm assuming that I need to find the following part numbers? 12533586 & 12457652

Re: Middle of cam install, need help Yeah, that's the valve stem seal sitting on the seat. I just changed mine yesterday so I know <img border="0" title="" alt="[Smile]" src="gr_stretch.gif" />

Re: Middle of cam install, need help I figured it out. Midway through 01, GM changed the valve stem/spring seat setup. 98-early01 was 2 seperate peices (seal and valve seat), in late 01 they changed to a single peice that combined both parts.
