Does the Stock pistons have ANY coatings on them?

Stock 2000 pistons in my case. Its time to get them clean so I need to know if I have to worry about removing a coating if its there <img border="0" title="" alt="[Confused]" src="images/icons/confused.gif" />

Late 2001 and 2002 LS1 and LS6 had coated skirts for piston slap issues. Dont glass bead any ringland areas or you will ruin ring seal. <img border="0" title="" alt="[Wink]" src="gr_images/icons/wink.gif" />
