Default Whats the odds of this happening again?

I'm thinking slim to none! We just finished an install of a TR 224/112 cam on a 2002 Camaro along with a ported TB, !lower air box! and Isky springs w Ti retainers, TR 55 plugs. The programming is factory and it dosen't throw a random missfire code, or any code for that matter. I put about 20 miles on the car and no SES. Trust me, I'm not complaining, <img border="0" title="" alt="[Big Grin]" src="gr_grin.gif" /> but usually the SES is on before the springs are even heat cycled in! We are taking the car for dyno tunning tommorow morning and I will post the results, my guess is 365/358 M6.

Joe.

I've had M6s not throw codes for a long time with the T1/B1.

but I probably wouldn't make it out of the driveway with my new bumpstick without an SES light <img border="0" title="" alt="[Roll Eyes]" src="images/icons/rolleyes.gif" />

I installed a Comp Cams 224 XE-R 112LSA grind this past weekend on my 01 formula M6, it has not thrown a single code whatsoever on stock tuning. Only problem I had was it not wanting to idle on a startup. (My IAC's were up in the high 90s)

I drilled my TB out to 13/64" and it starts up fine now. I'm in the process of retuning my car out a little bit with a MAFT right now though. I've almost got it nailed down.

Wow! thats remarkable, I mean , correct me if I'm wrong but dosen't the random missfire code get set off easier in the 2000 and lower models? Strange, because the 2001 and 2002's have smaller cams than the older models from the factory.

My misfire count is still very low while I am idling. Current misfire count bounces between 0 and 2 on each cylindar in autotap.

The B1 cam I had never set a misfire code on stock tuning.

I've never got a misfire code in my car with any camshaft except my 230/230 112, and that only happened when I was at idle for longer than 5 minutes.

I have a 224 224 114LSA .581 XE-R and the misfire count is low, bouncing between 0 and 2 evenly through the cylinders. Stock tuning it was ok, but my 02 was way lean and out of injector. Had to bump from the 24# stock to 28# injectors to get it to make power with a good A/F. Then we tuned the PCM up some more and it was good to go.

My T1 can go for MANY miles without a code. I will typically get the light when I am stopped for more than 5 minutes at a light. Especially if the a/c is on.

3-5 minutes at a light would set off P0300 on my car. Now I have tuned the parameters so idle and low rpm misfires wont happen.
