TR 224 cam only results
Joe.
Sure would be nice to see 400rwhp. We are going to the dyno between the FLP install and CAM install to get numbers on the increase of both.
I wanna know if anyone got as good of results as I did with the Cam only mod. <img border="0" title="" alt="[Big Grin]" src="gr_grin.gif" />
I dropped from 12.75@108 to 12.27@113 by adding just the TR224.
Dyin to see what other people get as results.
Good luck, Stu
The TR cams have faster ramps than the Comp XE cams. TRs ramps are pretty similar to the XE-R lobe, except for a bit less lift. The TR is a very nice choice if you don't want the extra lift of the XE-R.

IMO, the Isky's are a great spring, I dyno tested up to 7,100 rpm without any visible spring float or drop off in power on an S2 car that we did. There the only spring we use now for the serious heads.

It has the stock rev limit setting of 6,200, Chris is comming back for a full edit session soon to delete the random missfire code, Tq management, accelerated timing table, skip shift, rev limiter set for 6,800, and bump the idel 150 rpm.

I would guess that the hp peak would be at least 6200?</strong></font><hr /></blockquote><font size="2" face="Verdana, Helvetica, sans-serif">My HP peak with the same cam is 6500.
Nice work Joe. Do you still sweat the minute you have the old cam out and scurry to put the new cam in? lol I never saw you so stressed.
<strong>How about the 114 and emissions?

Therfore I don't think that you would have any troubles passing a smog in PA
Jim,
Yes, my heart rate goes up about 30 points in the interim of the cam swap, with or without magnets <img border="0" title="" alt="[Eek!]" src="gr_eek2.gif" /> . I have done 16 cam swaps to date now and had only one car drop a lifter... knock on wood <img border="0" title="" alt="[Wink]" src="gr_images/icons/wink.gif" /> .
r8ls1, I believe the Isyk's will be fine at .580 with a .600 rating.
Thanks Paul.

When I had the WS6 I passed our emissions with the following: TR224(112lsa), ARE SII Heads 2.055/1.60 .030, Grots, Loudmouth, Lid, LS6 Intake and LS6 MAF.
I took it to Knopp's on High Street in Pottstown. The first pull it did fail, however they did manage to get it to pass the second time.
How much more power will the XE-R 581 make versus the 568? Pro's and Con's to this? What does it mean when you say the TR 224 has a faster ramp rate?
