Question Head, cam combo what you think?

at the begining i wanter to have a set of ported 243 cast. on my car with MS4.
But now think what if i use 2.02 & 1.60 valves with an smaller cam to compensate air flow and make my living easyly with programing.
If you are at this point what you choose to do and why?Thanks

Depends on what your doing with your car...and from talking to Gunnar at patriot I was told that having the larger valves on a stokc cubed engine will not make a large difference.

the cam decides how long, fast, and high to open the valves, which will determine how much air/fuel mixture gets into the cylinder if the larger valves dont flow much more than the stock sized one and you choose the smaller cam I would say you will end up making about as much much power as most anyone else with that sized cam and LS6 heads / stock valves.

And what will the car be used for? the MS4/LS6 heads/flycutting would make a pretty powerful combo.

My plans are using the ms4 with factory valve sizes in the fully ported 243s castings or anyways use larger valves because i want refresh the motor and put a set of new forged rods and pistons.Becuse i going to hit it with 2 stages of NOS something like 150hp first satage and 100hp the second one.

I use the car most on weekends and probably 2 or 3 times track use a year.
