Do you have to take a set of heads to a shop to get a measurement on the combustion chamber cc's, or can it be done by any joe shmoe like me?

It would be hard to get a real number with out the right tools. You could get a rough number by turning the head over and making sure the head was level. Have a way to measure the water, graduated glass. pour in the water till it is full. The head will need to be perfectly level.

Do a search on this, theres a kit you can purchase and do it yourself. I opted for my machine shop to do it, thats just something I like to have zero doubt about.
