Default 383 Stroker Question

Hello all, I'm new to this board because...well, I'm new to the world of LS1s! I just picked up a very clean bare bones LS1 block that has been bored 10 over stock. Plans for this bad boy (as you may have guessed from the title) are to turn it into a 383 stroker.

Now, by my calculations (which may be wrong) with it's current bore and with a 4.000 stroke I should have myself a nice little 383...and change. However, I've heard that LS1s seem to have a little trouble with piston slap. Would I be better off going with a larger bore and a little smaller stroke or what? Opinions are great, but even better are those out there with experience in this arena. I'd appreciate some feedback. Thanks all and I'm glad to be here.

I have a 382 stroker (stock bore, 4" stroke), see sig for mods.

I think most people on here will agree that you should stay with a square or over square engine. Meaning your bore should be the same or more than your stroke.
