Default Help No oil pressure!

I just finished installing my TR 224. I did NOT replace the oil pump. It fired up great, but I noticed after a minute or 2 that i have ZERO oil pressure! Is there a sending unit i could have broken? I heard a snap when doing the back driver springs.

Basically what I'm looking for is reassurance that i DO have oil pressure!

The oil pressure sending unit is at the back of the motor behind the intake manifold towards the driver side. They are very easy to break when removing the manifold. You may have tugged on a wire too hard while you were working back there.

GREAT. I have zero oil pressure. I emptied the pan, put a new filter on (dry), started the motor, let it run for 20 seconds, pulled the filter, and it is completely dry. How could I have done this? Help please! How could I have screwed up my oil pump? Could I have not put in the cam right? Could I not have the chain on it properly? Help!!!

Can someone confirm this? If I had oil pressure, oil should squirt out of the block if no filter is on, and also should fill the filter with it on.

Could the pump have died the same time I put in a cam? Seriously?

I honestly don't know what to tell ya. It seems like its one heck of a coincidence if your pump died at the same time as the cam swap, but at the same time I cant imagine what it could have been. You are using a stock chain?
