Default replacement motors

i have a 98Z and it probably needs a new motor. if the dealership gets me a new one, will it be a 98 spec?? or could i tell them to get me a 2001?

You can order anything, get a new LS6 (405hp) for $5500.

He's in parts at Pheonix Pontiac. He has LS6 crate motors with oil pans installed by GM to fit the F-Body.

the motor is being covered under warrant. im going to TRY to get him to put a ls6 long block in for me.
