Originally I planned to go with something on a 114, but I may be getting a good deal locally on a used Comp Cam 222/222 .563/.563 112. With a good tune will I have any issues for a daily driver? I can deal with a slight rough idle as long as it doesn't stall alot. Thanks

i have the 114 on my cam (see sig) and the car idles like glass @900 rpms. no surge, no hunting for idle, nada...i'd stick with the 114lsa..(plus its better for emissions, if that matters for you)

Thanks guys Lope I like, not street friendly I don't. Isn't there more power under the curve w/a 112?

I have the TR 224/224 112 and love it. It idles at 850 and the only time I have stalling issues is when I have my air left on and going in reverse. Other than that it's fine. The car idles nice and lopey at stops and it's an awesome daily driver.

It is my understanding that the 114 has a broader rpm range (area under curve), it holds the hp out in the revs a bit longer, but doesn't make it down low. The lower lsa's have a narrower band.
My vote is for a 114. But I like revs Get a TR 224 114!

I'm not sure why people think a 112 LSA cam is so unstreetable. I drive my SS all of the time with no problems, and I'm running the Comp XE-R 224/224 on a 112 LSA. It does just fine at 825 RPM in gear.

112 is no prob. hell i even got mine idling perfectly at 725+-25. sweet sound
i wish i woulda done a 111 lsa
o well.
the 725 idle was hard to setup tho. most people take the easy route and go 850+
