Did you ever decide what you were going to do for an intake? I'd really like to see what you come up with for that.

I also just emailed you the pictures. Until I can put up a webpage for it, I thought that'd be easier.

I think it's got to be a Hogan. BTW - The car in the video is probably (it was dark so I really couldn't see it) Bill Porterfields. He owns #1 of both ZL1s.

Among others, it was a pretty cool look at some historical cars.

Does anyone have pics of the Blue one that was built to look like Penske's '69 car? I have only found one pic of it.

GRB you speak of the 090 cylinder heads. What are so different about these heads? Are these heads the ones that have the more conventional ports? If they do have the more conventiolanl ports then I wanted to know if you cc'ed the ports.

This head?

No that's not the same head. The P/N is the same as the earlier C5R heads except the last three numbers are 090. Like I said in an earlier post, these heads came from someone who reads this forum and contacted me and Lamar about them. The heads could only be sold to a racer like Lamar with GM ties. He asked me not to post pictures so I think information about the heads should be disclosed by him if he wants to.

I don't know where we are with the engine build up or what Lamar will do to the heads, if anything. We were waiting on the pistons, rods and valve train a week or so ago. I'm certainly not going to rush him!

I think the engine has to have 427 on it, like in the old days. The ZL1's have a decal on the hood that says 400 HP or something like that. I talked to Matt last week about having mine say 427.

For the magazine article Rob Walden will probably take it down the track. The writer wants some pictures at the track. I'm thinking we will put some skinnys on the front and slicks on the rear and document what the thing is capable of. I don't know if I'll be there for the shoot or not. Probably will. <img border="0" title="" alt="[Roll Eyes]" src="images/icons/rolleyes.gif" />

The only question I have for who ever to answer is does it have typical LSx series head port or is it a rectangular design. Just curious.

anybody can purchase the 090 head...the link that speedfreak put up lists the 090 head in the description as well. and from what i have read up on on teh 090 heads, they are meant to be ported, hence the extra material.
