How much rwhp can a stock 2001 bottom end handle??
I've got the upgraded valvetrain on the top end...double springs, titanium retainers, etc....
But was thinking about borrowing a buddy's bottle, ans was wondering how much of a wet shot I could run, and what (if anything) would needed to pull it off.
I'm looking to spray as much as possible w/o upgrading my fuel, bottom end, etc...
I've "heard" the 2001+ bottom ends and fuel are good to about 530rwhp or so. How far from the truth is this?

We are making 444-450 at the rear wheel with cam/heads on stock bottom ends.
We also have a couple other cars that are cam/head/NOS cars that are making 560 RWHP and one that has a Pro-Charger that is also in the mid 500 range.
If you are going to spray the car just make sure you have a decent fuel supply, no detonation and don't start spraying UNTIL after 3000 RPMS and you can keep on pounding it. They are a tought lower end!

It's not the HP you have to worry about. TQ is what really strains a motor.
I have seen quite a few stock LS1's take 600+ ft lbs of TQ for quite some time. As long as your tuning and fuel is correct, you shouldn't have any problems...
