If you have to use a higher viscosity oil to maintain oil pressure your engine builder goofed. Thicker oil is NEVER a solution to an oil pressure problem. That said, you should run the thinnest oil you can for the best lubrication and cooling.

Just keep the oil topped up with what wt oil your tuner recommends. I use dino oil Castrol GTX. That's plenty good enough for my application.

Hell just take it donw 95! Lately, it's had more stop and go than city traffic!! <img border="0" title="" alt="[Big Grin]" src="gr_grin.gif" /> Personally, I'd be alittle scared to take my new baby through O-Town, The traffic there sucks!! Get out of there ASAP!! Good luck with the new motor.

You say your putting a rearend and a FLP tranny in also? The tranny will be fine with the same as the Engine break in but the rearend will need heat cycled and chances are you will want to spend the first 10-15min in a parking lot doing very tight circles in both directing to work the posi lube in. My first time nobody told me about that and I thought I had a wheel about to fall off when I went around a corner. The heat cycle is 10 miles then park it for an hour to let it cool.
