Default Help removing oil pan

Okay, my quest in retrieving the dropped lifter is almost complete. I have the engine jacked up and the oilpan halfway off. I know that I am supposed to loosen the crossmemeber bolts but none of my tools fit the six bolts. Does anbody know what size they are? Thanks.

Be careful when tightening the oil pan bolts. The two long ones in the rear only ned about 8 ft lbs and the rest are 22 ft lbs. Do not attempt to tighten then long ones to 22 or you will be removing a busted bolt. Good luck, and as Jerry said the Xmember bolts are 15s

I believe he is talking about the engine crossmember bolts. Those are 18mm.

They certainly look like 18mm, I just wanted to make sure before I bought the socket.

Thanks for the tip on the oilpan bolts.
