JPR heads are on!!!!

JPR heads are on!!!!
Ya man! I should have the car dialed in by the end of the week and I will go do a wideband tune but as it is, the car feels considerably stronger across the RPM band. Lower end torque is much improved and during my 400 mile trip back home I had the opportunity to run the car a couple of times up to about 130MPH. It pulls WAY better up top. I can't wait to get it on the dyno and tune my A/F.
Joe and Tom did a great job and had me in and out in about 4 1/2 hrs. Man these guys know their stuff! I'll keep everyone posted with my dyno #s.
Thanks again JPR.

I spent a good part of the morning A-tapping and doing a street tune with LS1edit. The car is REALLY starting to rock! At this point, tires are a NECESSITY since now in 1st gear they will light up at 1/2 throttle and the shift from 1st to 2nd has become downright scary!I'm calling to make an appointment for a dyno session right now!

Sounds good Steve! Just bear in mind that they are only Lil' S1 heads <img border="0" title="" alt="[Big Grin]" src="gr_grin.gif" /> , so 409 to 412 RWH is where you should be tunned in. Have fun with it!
Joe.
BTW, Did you install that file that I wrote for you? And did the motor like it?
Yup, that 4.5 hours included lunch too! <img border="0" title="" alt="[Cool]" src="gr_images/icons/cool.gif" />

Re: JPR heads are on!!!!
Joe I put your modified file in and threw on a set of TR MAF ends that I had lying around. That brought the Ltrims to just slightly negative. I then had to richen the WOT 1% to get the O2s to read around .890. The car feels much better in the low end and is really rockin up top. SLP's (Zekes's) dyno was just moved and is not operating yet, so I am going to book another dyno here in town some time next week.
PS: the car still averaged 27.5 MPG at 75MPH to 80MPH on the way <img border="0" alt="[Burnout]" title="" src="graemlins/burnout.gif" /> home!

Re: JPR heads are on!!!!
Oh yea, I remember these heads. These were joes little stage 1 heads that flowed like 291cfm <img border="0" title="" alt="[Eek!]" src="gr_eek2.gif" />
I should have my heads this week from Joe and will be going on a wideband once they get installed. I went the same route as you with the stage 1.
I will be happy with anything above 400.
these heads will determine for me whether I want to put in my 4.10's or leave the 3.73's in.
