Default Paging S1 cam users...

I have the same cam, and am wondering where you shift your car at the track for EACH shift.

Please also note if you do NOT have LS6 heads.

I don't think there are more than about 3-4 of us.

As you know I shift at 6800 on both shifts but do take into consideration my tranny gearing of 2.75 for 1st and 1.52 for 2nd. I've found that shifting anywhere from 6600 to 7000 makes only a little difference with my setup.

Yeah, but it's fun to page you guys.

I moved my 1-2 shift down a bit and went a mph faster (98mph) but my 2-3 is at 6600 and that shift did not feel like it had a lot of extension...

Once I put in your old converter I'm hoping to see some 100-101mph action (along with FTRA)...

John

Get that freaking FTRA on there man. It is one of the best mods you can do. IMHO(definately noticeable, even on a stock motor)

FTRA setup is worth a solid mph from what everyone says it's going on soon.

I shift at 6600 on every gear. Like Stephen noted, my car doesn't run much different shifting between 6600-6800 rpm, since that HP curve is pretty broad anyways.

Guy's I'm looking at getting a 422 soon, how streetable is the S1 Cam, I don't care how hard it lopes but say your coming to a stop and put the car in neutral, will it stay on or shut off, lol Also, what double springs are you guy's running?

Thanks Guy's I'm looking to join you hopefully in a month or two.

My car never dies out anymore, Speed Inc. redid my pcm tuning and my car idles great, just a little high since my TB idle air hole is too big now.

I have the S1 cam on 114 LSA along with stage 3 LS6 heads. My car shifts between 6600-6800. No dyno or track numbers yet.

With 15/64" hole in the TB, the idle is not that bad when the car is fully warmed up. It would still surge during emergency braking with the AC on, but that's not a big deal for me. The car is drivable enough for me

My S1 was on a 112 LSA. Descent enough for a weekend warrior but not for a daily driver, IMO. I'm sure some LS1 Editing could make it a little more livable. It had stock tuning with the idle set at 1200.
