Heah man, I am on a budget just like you and these are the things that I am getting:
Texas Speed Cam Package(Heads come next year): $699.99
LS2 Timing Chain(at the least just the chain, HIGHLY RECOMMENDED): $35.99 just for the chain.
LS6 Ported Oil Pump(Dont have to go with the ported, just recommended): $139.99
LS6 Intake from Byunspeed: $416.90
Motive Gears form Texas Speed: $189.99
25% Underdrive Pulley: $199.99
New Serpitine Belt: $19.99
Sub Frame Connnectors Boxed Weld in: $139.99
All of that is going to be a lil more than $1,800. That would still leave you with quite a bit left over, you could throw on some LS6 Heads with what is lef tover too....
If I had $500 more to play with I would get heads to go with my **** too.........Also thought I would ask, is it going to be an Auto or a Manual? If an Auto trans, get ya Torque Converter, Manual: short thrown shifter, whether it be a Pro 5.0 or what ever...Could also get headers and air lid too.....Leave some to get her tuned when your done....

i spended smothing like that
went to lmperformance and bougth a head/cam package and roller rocker, and then i go to *nonsponser* and bougth fast 90/90 combo, and finaly i went to byunspeed and bougth FASt fuel rails,
