Difference between these two cams?
Difference between these two cams? I currently have the Comp Cams 218/218 .529 114lsa cam and am pondering on the TR 224/224 .561 114lsa cam on my 99 TA. I will be refreshing the motor and forging the lower end along with some stage II TEA heads. How much more power do you think the TR cam will make over the Comp and do you think it is worth it. Current mods in sig.

Re: Difference between these two cams? Definitely worth it. I agree 10 - 15 HP and the idle will be very similar; at most you'll need another 50 rpm to acheive the same idle quality.
