valve spring broke on MMS heads. now question. is it true there was/is a reference here to get the springs replaced? i dont remember when i heard it but i figured it was a past problem. to my surprise, i wasnt driving hard or revving high, which i assume you have to be doing for this to happen. i went on a trip for 2 weeks and the car just sat the whole time. when i got back, i went to start it and i heard something break and the car began to idle like crap! now i have to wait til next week to call. in the beginning i remember they would not disclose what valve spring brand they used but they did say that it was 'their own'. does anyone know what they're using now? any recommendations? any input about crane? i dont think ive ever heard anything negative about them. the only thing that concerns me, if i choose not to go with something they use or recommend, something else will go wrong and they will fault my choice and claim they never endorsed it to begin with. as it is, my car never even came close to making their advertised power even tho the one and only piece i did not choose was the underdrive pulley! it was done almost 5 months ago. thanks for any input. <img border="0" title="" alt="[Sad]" src="gr_sad.gif" />

I think Mike Morgan from MMS posted something a few months back about prorating spring replacement for some heads and cam packages that were done before such and such date. I think I recall Mike also posting that going forward from date such and such MMS would not cover springs.

Re: valve spring broke on MMS heads. now question. thanks for the response. i have also learned there was/is also a post where MMS gives prices on how much prorated refunds will be for the for springs and for the inconvenience. can anyone reference this link? thanks.
