i'm wondering why i'm getting such crappy milage. i do gas up at the shell station and all. i have however noticed that when i went to a different company station, i got alittle better milage. i'm thinking all of that detergent that keeps our valves nice and clean is chewing up some of that gas milage

talk to some people on the forum that are from your area. word of mouth is the best way.... if you're close to one of the sponsors shops, go there and get a dyno tune. street tune with a good tuner would probably be good if its your daily driver though.even with a good tune, if you got a big cam, v8, and a heavy foot....ur not gonna get good gas mileage. but if you can keep ur foot out of it and you have a good tuner, u can get decent mpg. with the mods in my sig, i can still get over 20mpg on the highway and my gas mileage went up around town because of the 3.73's

Borla TA I tuned the car myself, over the course of a month or so just piddling around when time would allow.

RocketCutlass, I'm on a forged shortblock, so no need to flycut, however a stock shortlock will need trimming.

I used to get 250-300 miles to a tank of gas, which is 125-150 miles on a half of tank. I think something is really wrong with your tune.

yeah i know the tune can be alot better, me and a bud were going over the log's and stuff and thers'a lot on the table. i'm wanting to buy these 3.23 gears and up it up from the 2.73's it has in there right now. i know that wont be a HUGE improvement. but i'm betting that it will help alittle with in town driving. i am still on the stock stall (eeew i know) and i'm hopeing that helps my milage out ALOT. right now i think the engine is having to fight aganst itself when i'm at stop lights and stuff

i went to Shell then i switched over to Valero, just becuase it was on the other side of the street. and it did increase alittle. i know the tune has to be way off, but yeah i'm thinking that stall is killing my milage
