Default Valve Spring Height and Seat Pressures

Can somebody clarify these topics. I think I read a post a couple weeks ago but it is still unclear to me. What are they and what do they affect? It seems like valvesprings can only go in one way.

Default Re: Valve Spring Height and Seat Pressures

A basic and quick description is that if the valve is too tall, the spring won't have enough pressure to keep up and the valve will float. If the valve is too low, the spring will have too much pressure on it and will crunch together (bind) and break stuff. <img border="0" title="" alt="[Wink]" src="gr_images/icons/wink.gif" />
